Join PSNA and your nurse colleagues for our June Coffee & Connect! The hour wi ll begin with a presentation titled “Creating an Effective Resume” by Moni ca Gillis\, MEd. Studies have shown that employers spend approximately 6-1 0 seconds reviewing a single resume before deciding whether to place it in the “do not” interview pile. Therefore\, your resume must be clear\, conc ise\, and – most importantly – relevant to the position you are applying f or. Understanding how to design a resume that emphasizes healthcare is the goal. Highlighting the right balance of practical skills (gained from cou rsework and clinical rotations) and valuable soft skills are key.
\nFeel free to bring questions for Monica to answer following the presentati on! This is also a great time to meet nursing students or new‐to‐practice nurses and broaden your networking circle.
\nWant to get more involv ed? Register for next month’s Coffee & Connect. Or contact us to learn abo ut joining PSNA’s YNP Advisory Board.
