Michelle began working with the Authority in 2010 as a Patient Safet y Liaison for the southeast region. She joined the patient Safety Authorit y after completing a yearlong fellowship with the Institute for Safe Medic ation Practices\, a world-renowned expert organization on medication safet y. She has presented and developed education on several patient safety top ics and was instrumental in the development and publication of the “Drug S hortage Toolkit” available on the Authority’s website.\nPrior to her role with the Authority\, Ms. Bell practiced as an emergency department nurse a nd has since filled a variety of roles in shared governance\, compliance\, patient safety\, and quality management.
