Global Nursing in Resource-Poor Settings

PSNA District 6 invites all RNs, students, and guests to “Challenges and Triumphs of Developing the Global Nursing Role in Resource-Poor Settings” in Pittsburgh on October 10 at 5:30 pm. The event speaker, Erin Buchan, RN, BSN, CCRN, will: (1) recognize at least three global standards of nursing care set by the World Health Organization and the American Nurses Association Scope and Standards of Practice; (2) describe barriers to implementing these nurses standards in developing nations; and (3) identify methods described to overcome barriers in resource-poor settings through group discussion.
