Webinar: Saving Lives Through Organ and Tissue Donation
PSNA welcomes Gift of Life Donor Program Hospital Services Coordinator Karen Bronchella, MT, MBA, as she presents “Saving Lives Through Organ and Tissue Donation.” This webinar will describe the donation process from referral to recovery of organs and tissues. It will describe the aftercare for donor families, review the collaboration with healthcare teams, and discuss how the service optimizes successful outcomes. This event will be held March 28, 2018 from 1 – 2 PM. Attendees will be email presentation details three days prior to the event. About the speaker: Karen has worked extensively with physicians and nurses to establish use of best demonstrated practices regarding organ donation, especially in relation to interacting with grieving families. She has performed quantitative and qualitative analysis of hospital donor potential and related processes within the hospital. She continues to conduct education needs assessment for hospitals and develops and implements educational plan.
