NFP Awards Fasick Scholarship

The Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania (NFP), a supporting organization of the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA), has announced the recipients of the 2015 Florence (Madden) Grady-Fasick Scholarship Fund. This fund exists to provide scholarships to students demonstrating financial need in the pursuit of a nursing degree. The NFP is pleased to award five $2,000 scholarships to the following students:

  • Melissa Fedor, Thomas Jefferson University
  • Kayte Trexler, Marywood University
  • Lauren Ashley White, Moravian College
  • Alexa Rae Lagrotteria, Edinboro University of Pennsylvania
  • Darlene Kuchinski-Donnelly, Widener University

“The Grady-Fasick Scholarship is a generously established fund honoring Mrs. Florence Grady-Fasick,” stated NFP President Elizabeth Walls, MBA, MSN, RN. “A nurse for more than 45 years, Flo chose to give back to the profession as a way to recognize a physician who generously sponsored her nursing school education. This is the first year that the Grady-Fasick Scholarship has been awarded and we congratulate our 2015 recipients. Individuals or organizations wishing to support nursing students can receive assistance in administering their scholarships through NFP’s services.”
