We’d love to see you!
Join PSNA and your nurse colleagues for our June Coffee & Connect! The hour will begin with a presentation titled “Creating an Effective Resume” by Monica Gillis, MEd. Studies have shown that employers spend approximately 6-10 seconds reviewing a single resume before deciding whether to place it in the “do not” interview pile. Therefore, your resume must be clear, concise, and – most importantly – relevant to the position you are applying for. Understanding how to design a resume that emphasizes healthcare is the goal. Highlighting the right balance of practical skills (gained from coursework and clinical rotations) and valuable soft skills are key.
Feel free to bring questions for Monica to answer following the presentation! This is also a great time to meet nursing students or new‐to‐practice nurses and broaden your networking circle.

Meet Our Guest Speaker
Monica L. Gillis, MEd
Being a career advisor allows me to inspire students to reach their full potential professionally and personally. I joined HACC with over 15 years of experience in helping high school students transition to college and fulfilling careers. A proud Penn State graduate with a degree in health policy administration, I later decided to earn a master’s degree in school counseling from Shippensburg University. I understand the challenges of “finding your path” and enjoy helping students find their way!
