“Nurses play a vital role in the healthcare system, but the ever-rising costs of higher education can be a profound hurdle for students pursuing their nursing degrees,” said Paula Lasecki, NFP Director of Development. “Through the NFP’s vision of ensuring nurses for tomorrow, these scholarships can provide qualified students with the financial support they need and rightfully deserve.”
NFP’s scholarships are made possible through gifts from friends and supporters of the nursing profession. Since 1995, NFP has awarded approximately $231,000 in scholarships to more than 150 students for educational expenses and research grants. In addition, NFP has worked in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars since 1990 to award scholarships to more than 110 nursing students.
Since 1995, the Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania (NFP) has aided nursing students and professionals with educational assistance to help sharpen their knowledge and professional skills. Established in 1983, NFP has been successful in facilitating and acknowledging the gifts and bequests with our vision of ensuring nurses for tomorrow. The Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania (NFP) is a 501(c) 3, Type II, Supporting Organization, under the broad umbrella of community benefit organizations in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Headquartered in Harrisburg, NFP provides charitable support to the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA).
