NFP Launches 2023 Scholarship Program for Pennsylvania Nursing Students

HARRISBURG, PA – The Nursing Foundation of Pennsylvania (NFP) has launched its 2023 scholarship program. Nine different scholarships with a combined value of up to $25,000 are available to students who are pursuing nursing degrees at an accredited nursing school in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Applications are available online and must be submitted no later than March 31, 2023.

Scholarships are available for students at all levels of full-time study in the field of nursing, from Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) to Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) to doctoral nursing programs. Complete eligibility criteria and application requirements can be found on the NFP website at https://thenfp.org/criteria-and-applications/

“Nurses play a vital role in the healthcare system, but the ever-rising costs of higher education can be a profound hurdle for students pursuing their nursing degrees,” said Paula Lasecki, NFP Director of Development. “Through the NFP’s vision of ensuring nurses for tomorrow, these scholarships can provide qualified students with the financial support they need and rightfully deserve.”

NFP’s scholarships are made possible through gifts from friends and supporters of the nursing profession. Since 1995, NFP has awarded approximately $231,000 in scholarships to more than 150 students for educational expenses and research grants. In addition, NFP has worked in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars since 1990 to award scholarships to more than 110 nursing students.
