Harrisburg, PA, October 28, 2022 – The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association – Political Action Committee (PSNA-PAC), representing more than 228,000 nurses in the Commonwealth, has announced their bi-partisan endorsements for the upcoming general election.
Funded by donations from Pennsylvania’s registered nurses, PSNA-PAC is the bi-partisan political action committee through which PSNA endorses pro-nursing candidates for Pennsylvania State House and State Senate. “The PSNA-PAC is proud to stand for candidates who continue to show support for nurses on issues such as Patient Safety, Chief Nurse Officer, and full practice authority for advanced practice nurses,” PSNA Chief Executive Officer Wayne E. Reich, Jr. MSN, MBA, RN.
The PSNA Board of Directors appoints registered nurse PSNA members to sit on the PSNA-PAC. When reviewing incumbents, the Committee reviews voting records, co-sponsorships, and relationships with the association. The Committee reviews an official PSNA-PAC questionnaire for any challenger or candidate for State House and Senate. PSNA-PAC does not endorse in national, gubernatorial, or congressional races. PSNA-PAC only considers State Senate and State House of Representative races.
