Incivility and Bullying
$8.95
Workplace bullying and incivility are long‐standing problems directly affecting nurses and negatively influencing all healthcare system stakeholders, including patients, nurses, other providers, and the public. Nurse bullying has been a phenomenon of concern for the past century (Castronova, Pullizzi, & Evans, 2016). A 1909 editorial in The New York Times described bullying by head nurses, including behaviors directed at patients, nursing students, and staff (Rose‐Seeker, 1909).
