The Young Nurse Professionals group is a simple solution to using your time to advance your career, build your network and gain lifelong friends. Are you the traditional student that studied nursing straight out of high school? We saved you a seat! Are you an RN that chose nursing as a second career? This is the group for you too! New nurses can build a community of peers, discuss career-related concerns, provide insight into their specific needs, take on new roles as leaders and make your communities a better place to live.

Pittsburgh: Join the Pittsburgh YNPs and listen to C-Suite and senior-level executives as we discuss and explore the benefits that gender diversity brings to organizations and corporate boardrooms. The goal is to raise awareness and continue the momentum of today’s national and global brands committing the 20% or more of their board seats held by women. This event will be on Thursday, November 17, 2016. Stay tuned for information!

Berks County: The Berks County YNPs held a bowling night mixer in September 2016. Stay tuned for our next event!
York: Thanks to all who came out for December’s Holiday Mixer at the York County Club’s Mixed Grille. The evening’s coat drive for the York Mission was a success and we had a lot of laughs with the ugly sweater contest!
Pittsburgh: Thank you to our YNPs and PSNA District 6 members who came out for September’s “Let’s Talk Money” presentation.
Philadelphia: In August 2016, we had an excellent networking luncheon at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Presenters discussed the benefits of reiki and aromatherapy on patients. We also met with Main Line Health RN leaders.
Scranton: YNP Scranton held a Paint Nite at the Court Street Tavern. Stay tuned for our next event.
Central PA: Our Central PA YNPs have held a coat drive, met for a mixer at The Vineyards and attended a Bears hockey game. We’ll post updates soon!
