The Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with PSNA, will offer “Philadelphia’s Free Health Clinics: Impacting the Homeless Population and Benefiting All” in Philadelphia on April 19. Join us for an open conversation to hear from nurses and other direct care providers assisting the homeless population in the city. 1.0 CNE will be awarded. This event is free. RSVP by April 12.

Video Club: Call the Midwife

Season 8 begins March 31 and includes 8 episodes. Participants can watch each episode live or stream on demand. Each episode must be viewed prior to participating in the Video Club call. A total of 16 contact hours are available. Contact hours will only be awarded for those calls in which you participate (2.0 contact hours per week).

Conference calls are held on the Thursday of each week from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Registrants of the Video Club will be e-mailed weekly “Thoughts-to-Ponder” and call-in information. According to the National Institute on Aging, elder abuse can happen to anyone—no matter the person’s age, sex, race, religion, or ethnic or cultural background. Each year, hundreds of thousands of adults over the age of 60 are abused, neglected, or financially exploited. This is called elder abuse.

Join PSNA on October 23 for a panel discussion to identify types of abuse, discuss the signs of abuse, address who can help, and more. There is no cost to attend this event.

This event is open to healthcare professionals, students, and the general public.
