The Pennsylvania State Nurses Association (PSNA) invites all RNs and guests to an important Town Hall on October 24. Come out and speak with Representative Judy Ward, RN to discuss Safe Nurse Staffing legislation in Pennsylvania.

This event will be held at the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School from 6-8 pm. This is a free event. However, we encourage guests to RSVP.

PSNA is holding a Members’ PSNA Election Tele-Town Hall on August 21 at 6 pm. Here’s what members need to know:

  • Members (who have a phone number on file with PSNA) will be called shortly before the 6 PM start of the Town Hall on August 21.
  • The phone call will instruct members on how to participate and hear from PSNA’s Vice Presidential candidates.
  • Members will be able to hear from and speak with our 2019 Vice Presidential candidates
  • The Town Hall should last no more than 1 hour. 
  • We ask that members prepare 2-3 questions they would like to potentially present to the candidates.

Voting will be open August 13 through September 13. Watch your in-box for a “How-To” email from Vote-Now. Members without an email on file will be mailed information. Visit our News & Events page for candidate profiles.

According to the National Institute on Aging, elder abuse can happen to anyone—no matter the person’s age, sex, race, religion, or ethnic or cultural background. Each year, hundreds of thousands of adults over the age of 60 are abused, neglected, or financially exploited. This is called elder abuse.

Join PSNA on October 23 for a panel discussion to identify types of abuse, discuss the signs of abuse, address who can help, and more. There is no cost to attend this event.

This event is open to healthcare professionals, students, and the general public.
